Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sleep Lock iPhone application (the "App") and the website at sleeplock.app (the "Website"), provided by Modestas Razanauskas, an individual based in Lithuania ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
Sleep Lock helps you create a bedtime boundary on your iPhone by shielding apps you select during a sleep window you configure. It uses Apple's Screen Time framework (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity), AlarmKit for wake-up alarms, and HealthKit for optional sleep insights. The App requires iOS 26.0 or later.
Calls, SMS, alarms, emergency features, and any apps you do not select continue to function normally during a lock window.
2. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on iPhones that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Usage Rules in the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
3. Subscriptions
Some features of the App ("Sleep Lock Pro") require an auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions are sold in three durations:
- Weekly — recurring weekly billing
- Monthly — recurring monthly billing
- Yearly — recurring annual billing
Free trial
New subscribers may be eligible for a 3-day free trial when they purchase a subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription will automatically begin at the standard price for that plan. Each Apple ID is eligible for one free trial per subscription group.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price displayed at the time of purchase.
Managing and canceling
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds directly.
Price changes
Subscription prices may change over time. Where required by Apple's policies and applicable law, you will be notified of any price increase before it takes effect, and you may be required to reaffirm your consent to continue your subscription.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where permitted by law;
- use the App to violate any applicable law or third-party right;
- circumvent any security or access-control mechanism in the App;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or any part of it.
5. Intellectual property
The App, the Website, and all related content (including text, graphics, logos, and source code) are owned by Modestas Razanauskas and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or license other than the limited license described above.
6. Third-party services
The App relies on services provided by third parties:
- Apple — operates the App Store, Screen Time, AlarmKit, HealthKit, and the underlying iOS platform.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — handles subscription receipt validation and entitlement management.
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party services.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or iOS configuration.
Sleep Lock is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any sleep condition. The sleep insights shown in the App are derived from data you choose to share via Apple Health and are provided for informational purposes only. If you have concerns about your sleep, consult a qualified medical professional.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded under Lithuanian or European Union consumer law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 7, 8, and 10) will survive.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Lithuania, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the Website. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Apple-specific terms
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and Modestas Razanauskas only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
